Traditionally, it was used to stimulate mental functioning, and it thought to help those with writers block or for whenever someone has a big workload and needs to get things done expediently. Sleeping with Vanadinite under your pillow may help you wake up feeling energised. Vanadinite is a mineral in the vanadate family, combining lead, vanadium, oxygen and chlorine. It has a hardness of 3 with a hexagonal crystal system. It is a relatively rare mineral and is sometimes found in the upper oxidised parts of lead deposits. Vanadinite is found in Morocco, New Mexico and Arizona in the USA.
