Smudge Sticks

These beautiful Smudge Sticks are locally grown and made just around the corner from our Samford Crystal Shop. We are lucky enough to work with Draper Farm and supply their amazing products.

Their Sage Smudge Sticks are grown using organic practices. They are then picked, dried and bundled with much love and care just for you.

Our smudge sticks are tightly bundled to allow a slow and consistent burn, as well as making them much easier to stub out. In addition, these smudge sticks are generous in size and allow for many uses.

You can use your smudge stick to cleanse your house, your workspace, your crystals or yourself.

What is Smudging?

Smudging has been used by many cultures across the world to clear away negative energies. It involves the burning of sacred herbs to produce smoke. This smoke is used to cleanse the energy of your home, workplace, crystals or even your body.

How to Use a Smudge Stick

Light the end of the smudge stick, so it is smouldering. Traditionally, the cleansing smoke was fanned by a feather, but you can simply use your hand. If you want to produce more smoke, gently blow on the smouldering end.

Positive intent: maintain positive thoughts as you smudge. A simple smudging prayer or affirmation you could use is “I invite good energy and love into this space.”

You don’t need a lot of smoke, but you need a little bit of smoke to reach all areas of your home. Walk into the corners of each room. Waft the smoke behind doors, under beds and around other furniture. Once this practice is completed, open all windows and doors, turn on any fans and flush the smoke out of your home with any negative energy that was previously held in the space.

Stub out your smudge stick in sand or a heat-resistant container.

Ensure you thoroughly extinguish your bundle.

The same practice is often transferred to crystals. This is thought to help clear energy build up and stagnation in your pieces.
