History and Uses
Bumble Bee Jasper is named for its swirly striped yellow and black patterns. It is also known as Eclipse Stone or Fumerole/Fumerolic Jasper. This crystal can contain colours ranging from bright yellow to orange, brown and white.
This crystal is mined from the active volcano Mount Papandayan in West Java, Indonesia. As such, it is quite difficult and dangerous to mine.
Traditionally, it was used as an energising crystal. Moreover, its energy is believed to strengthen the nervous system and help speed recovery from illness or injury. Please note, all of our Bumblebee Jasper pieces are sealed to protect from the toxic arsenic and sulphur contained in the raw stone.
