History and Uses

Throughout history, Moss Agate has been connected with agriculture and gardening as it is thought to improve the growth of plants. Traditionally, it has been used to assist midwives and new mothers during birthing. Like all Agates, it vibrates at a low steady frequency bringing slow, gentle and deep healing to the root cause of issues.

Geological Description

Agate is a form of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the quartz group. It has a trigonal crystal structure and a hardness of 7. Moss Agate is not banded so is not strictly an agate in scientific terms. Many of the best specimens come from India.
