Sunstone was used by the Canadian Indians in medicine wheel rituals, and to the ancient Greeks it represented the Sun Gods. It was used in ancient India as a protection against dark forces from other realms.

Sunstone is an oligioclase feldspar mineral with a hardness of 6 to 6.5. It has a triclinic crystal system and derives its name from its warm orange colour and sparkling inclusions. It can be found in Canada, USA, Norway, Greece and India
