Natural Citrine Cluster
Expand your Citrine collection with this rare Natural Citrine Cluster. Natural Citrine tends to be paler than heat treated Citrine and not as sparkly and therefore not as “pretty”. But for the “purist” it is real Citrine!
This specimen was found in a mine at the border of China and Burma. My understanding is that now this mine is closed.

Citrine Crystal Healing Properties
Citrine is thought to be a great manifester. It is believed to help to clear and activate the lower chakras, the powerful points in our energy system for manifestation and creation work. Also, this crystal helps us maintain direction and overcome obstacles. Similarly, it can assist with setting proper emotional boundaries and clearly maintaining them. However, many find that this crystal has a playful energy that can bring light and optimism.
History and Uses
The name Citrine comes from the French word citron meaning lemon. It was used as a gemstone in Greek jewellery as long ago as 300BC. This crystal varies in colour from the deep amber of heat treated Amethyst to the pale yellows and browns of the natural variety.
Geological Description
Citrine is a member of the quartz family, a silicon dioxide mineral with a hardness of 7. Its yellow colouring comes from the inclusion of iron in the quartz.
Natural Citrine is mostly a pale yellow colour, while the darker, more orange specimens are often heat treated Amethyst. This is the most widely found and most popular type of Citrine. Deposits are found in Brazil, Africa, Madagascar, Spain, Russia, France, Scotland and the USA.
