Unakite Crystal Healing Properties

Unakite is thought to help us slowly and gently eliminate bad habits and release repressed emotional wounds before they manifest as physical diseases. History and Uses

Unakite is a mottled combination stone found in various shades of pink orthoclase feldspar and green Epidote, from the Greek word epidosis meaning growing together. It is named after the Unaka mountains in Tennessee, USA where it was first found. It is sometimes known as Epidotized Granite or Grandodiorite.

Geological Description

Unakite is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz, a silicon dioxide mineral with a hardness of 6.5 to 7. It is found all over the world, including large deposits in India, Russia, Brazil, France, Germany and the USA.
